Nobles to EMU

Ten days after picking up an offer from Eastern Michigan, Canton's (MI.) 6'8 2014 small forward Jordan Nobles took up the opportunity to play for the nearby college.
Nobles is a lanky lefty who shoots it well from the mid-range and is a decent perimeter jump shooter. His length and ability to defend the wing should fit in well with the Eagles 2-3 zone defense. The Canton senior is a good athlete who will block shots from the weak side and run the floor.
He had a solid spring and summer with the Michigan Warriors 17u team and picked up interest from the University of Detroit-Mercy, Long Island, Massachustts-Lowell, Youngstown State, and GLIAC programs. As a junior Nobles averaged 13 ppg, 7 rebounds, and three blocks.
His father Darryl Nobles, sr. says, "I'm proud of Jordan and the work he's put in this off-season. I think Eastern's style of plays hits his skill set greatly. If he continues to work, I think by the end of the year he will be seen as one of this classes most versatile players and Eastern got a steal."
Nobles is the eleventh member of the Michigan Elite 25 to choose the Division One route.
Canton faces Detroit Henry Ford in the Winter Breakout at Milan High School on Saturday, December 14. Henry Ford has 6'4" 2015 shooting guard Josh Davis who also has an offer to play from Eastern Michigan.
