Michigan Preseason: Teams 11-15

Inside Prep Sports/By TJ Kelley

The 11-15 top teams in Michigan have the state's top three Class B teams with defending state champion Detroit Country Day, rival Detroit Douglass, and the upstart member of the group, Milan.  Country Day's Edmond Sumner and Douglass' Darrell Davis have been battling the last three years and don't expect things to quit for the 6'5" combo guards as they will probably meet in the state playoffs, end up as Mr. Basketball candidates, and play college ball barely an hour away when Sumner attends Xavier with Davis choosing Dayton.  E. English Village has talent at evey position, the state's top unsigned senior guard in Marq'ywell Jackson, height, two of the state's best sophomores and a youthful but talented bench.  Most critics will say that Western is a year away as they have a huge front line and three of the state's best sophomore guards all of whom will return next season.  Milan has one of the state's best 1-2 punches in juniors Latin Davis, jr., and Nick Perkins.

11. Detroit E. English Village- Head coach Juan Rickman has one of the state's best starting lineups and an experienced backcourt.  Key Players: 6'4" 2014 shooting guard Marq'ywell Jackson, 6'9" 2014 center Deitrich Cole, 5'11" 2015 point guard Fred Wright-Jones, 6'7" 2016 cneter Joe Barron, 6'4" 2016 forward Cedrick Lattimore, 6'3" 2016 shooting guard Karmari Newman; Key games: @ Westland John Glenn, @ Massillon Washington (OH.) 12/13, Ann Arbor Huron @ Best of the Best (Detroit Renaissance) 12/21, Detroit Community @ PSl Holiday Classic (Detroit Cass Tech) 12/27, Toledo Rogers (OH.) @ Motor City Roundball Classic (Harper Woods) 12/29, Detroit Cass Tech 1/10, Detroit Country Day 1/11, @ Detroit Pershing 1/14, @ Detroit Southestern 1/17, TBA @ Floyd Mayweather Classic (Grand Rapids) 1/18, Detroit Renaissance 1/21, @ Detroit Western 1/24, Detroit King 1/28, Detroit Douglass 1/31, Detroit Henry Ford 2/4

13.
