Ann Arbor Huron 54 Ypsilanti Lincoln 50 (OT)

After points were at a premium in the first half 19-11 Huron lead, both offense’s picked it up in the second half/ overtime. At one points Huron lead 19-3 and Lincoln ended the half on a 8-0 run. After scratching their way back 2015 F Lincoln’s Lazon Hicks jumped a passing lane giving Lincoln their first lead of the game. After the lead changed three more times Jalen Thompson Hit a free throw to send the game into overtime.  Huron Freshman Jack Smith had an and 1 to give the rats a 5 point lead and seal the game.

6'8" 2015 small forward Devin Haygood: Despite missing some free throws late in regulation Haygood had a monster game. Finished with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Controlled the rebounds and had 4 blocks. Didn’t shoot the ball well tonight but showed potential.

6'7" 2016 wing Ty Groce-  After being held scoreless in the first half Groce came out on fire with two threes early in the third that only hit net. Finished with 11 points and filled up the stat sheet with 4 boards 3 blocks and 2 steals. Also had the go ahead lay up late in regulation.

 2015 wing 6’4 Xavier Cochran- Xavier played well the enitre game but didn’t get enough touches in the 4thquarter. Finished with 10 points and scored in different ways. Hit a three pointer, scored in the post and finished 4/4 from the free throw line.

2015 guard 6’0 Jalen Thompson- Jalen lead all scorers tonight with 15 points. Hit a pair of threes, and scored the rest driving the ball hard to the basketball, mainly with his right hand. He also grabbed 9 boards tonight against one of the better rebounding teams in the state.
