Detroit Guard Waiting Until Spring

Dayton has plenty of success recruiting Michigan-made players, Friday afternoon Clarkston's 2017 guard Dylan Alderson took an unofficial visit to the Atlantic-10 school.
Devin Searcy (Romulus '07), Paul Williams (Detroit Renaissance '08), Devin Oliver (Kalamazoo Central '10), and current sophomore Darrell Davis (Detroit Douglass '14) have all had success with Dayton's program.
This afternoon, Alderson had the opportunity to tour the University with head coach Archie Miller and assistants Kevin Kuwik, Allen Griffin, and Thomas Ostrom.
Alderson enjoyed his visit saying, "It was good! Great campus and arena!"
The athletic guard holds offers from Central Michigan and Toledo. He will attend Wright State's Elite Camp on Saturday. Alderson will also visit Michigan State on September 12th when the football team hosts Oregon.
Detroit Renaissance senior Justin Turner (1 Nation 17u) is the #1 combo guard and #3 overall player still on the board in Michigan. Word from a close source is Turner will make his college decision after the season. He holds offers from Conference USA, Horizon, MAAC, and MAC programs.
Detroit Cass Tech has hired '88 alum Steve Hall as their new head coach. He was previously an assistant coach for Duquesne and more recently Youngstown State. Hall won three consecutive State titles with Detroit Rogers from 2003-2005. Dave Dixon stepped down after a solid run in his seven year tenure reaching the 2014 regional final in a controversial loss to the University of Detroit-Jesuit.
