After spending three years covering high school sports on Detroit (90.9 WDTR) and Lansing (92.1/92.7 WQTX/WTXQ) radio, Inside Prep Sports (IPS) was founded in April, 2006 by TJ Kelley. Since the beginning stages IPS has extended itself to promote high school players that have goals of continuing their education as well as their basketball playing days to college and beyond. IPS is also proud to promote Michigan's A.A.U. tournaments and scout these events. Since 2008, IPS has helped the Motor City Roundball Classic, one of the largest basketball events and longest running basketball events in the country. TJ Kelley often contributes to ESPN, Rivals, Scout, and other high school basketball based websites as well as adding to sports' radio programs.
Inside Prep Sports also hosts high school events such as the Winter Breakout and spring and summer based tournaments like the Great Lakes Classic and July Tune Up in the Greater Detroit Area.
